Cusom License Plates

This license plate started off as a white blank. A sheet of masking was applied and the design hand-cut from the masking. The excess masking was removed, leaving the white area you see here masked off. The background was airbrushed using a layered effect with black, pearl blue and pearl silver paints. The masking was removed to reveal the white flames, then the shading on the flames and shadows under the flames were added with an airbrush. The entire design was then clearcoated for durability.

Note: Both images displayed here are the same license plate! The bottom image shows how the pearl paints really POP! in the sunlight - Looks like it's underwater!
